1-2-3: Train Your Core, Get Out of Pain

profile

Kyle Zange

I started in the fitness industry in 2015 as a Personal Trainer. Almost 9 years later I am a Human Foundations practitioner, a Pilates/Yoga instructor, a breathwork coach, and a Functional Mobility coach. My experience has taught me what method of training works best for the individual rather than a one size fits all answer. Here, I want to share what I've learned and build a community training clients online.

We've all been there.

Looking down at our belly, wondering how to make it look like the cool kids.

Some of us have had our hands on our back, trying to soothe the pain.

It's easier than you think to be better than you are.

Introducing: Ken.

Ken started training with me 6 months ago. Wanting to lean out, and more importantly, get out of back pain.

"I have to spend 10 minutes doing stretches in the morning before I can even get out of bed."

So we went to work.

We actually started training his hips before addressing his core.

If your hips are locked up, you won't be able to completely engage your core.

3 months later. Ken's back pain went from an 8 out of 10 in the morning, to a 3.

He didn't have to do 10 minutes of stretching to get out of bed. In fact, he went on to play 4 rounds of golf that day and had no pain whatsoever.

6 months in. Ken is starting to see his abs, is pain free, and can play with his daughter without worrying if his back will be okay.

You can change your body. All you need is the right method.

2 Amazing Quotes about Fitness and Life:

"Be yourself, everyone else is taken."
- Oscar Wilde

You don't have to look like "the cool kids". If you look closely at the truth, there is a place to be "cool" for everyone. The entire fanbase of Dungeons & Dragons are really cool to each other. If you aim for greatness and treat people with respect, you're cool.

"It's hard to be optimistic when you only look at your problems." - Me

Take some time to look at how far you've come.

You are an amazing person who has achieved what younger you thought was impossible many times over.

Right now, that doubt you're holding on to is something future you will look back and laugh at.

Don't take yourself so seriously, but instead realize how great you really are. You're heading in an amazing direction.

3 Fitness Tips:

  1. Make a long term plan and start it immediately. Then adjust along the way.
  2. Talk to everyone about your goals. Sift out the negative responses as questions to ask yourself "how do I overcome this obstacle this person just brought up?" If you have the answer, that makes your plan more fleshed out. Believe in yourself.
  3. Do what works, until it doesn't. Then do something else.
